Barr made the announcement on June 25 on her program admitting she hadn't had a skin check up in a couple of years.
"I had a pimple on my nose that wouldn't go away," she said.
Barr said the pimple had been on her nose for roughly three weeks so she went to see a dermatologist.
Using AI, including a Spectrascope, the dermatologist diagnosed the 3mm lesion as cancerous.
"He said it was skin cancer - this tiny little dot on my nose. The good thing is I got it really early, and there's not much treatment."
Barr said she hoped sharing her story would encourage viewers to get their skin checked regularly.
Co-host Matt Shirvington asked her: "When you saw that graph, and it indicated that it was skin cancer, how nervous were you?"

"You sort of go, 'Oh my God'. So many Aussies, millions and millions of us, have skin cancer, but it does make you think," she said.
